heading up there for a few days with the woman next week. any recommendations on the sights or food? most likely staying in the yaletown area. using public transit, no car. have the usual sights on the list so far - stanley park, granville island, the suspension bridge (the free one, not the $ Capilano scene).

Ed, I had been dying to go there for years...and I saw nothing except my hotel and the Rogers Center for the game so I couldn't even give you one thing to do.

But I'm sure you'll have no trouble filling your time in up there. People were super nice.

Eddie, I'm not sure if you're a burner but based on my limited field research (i.e. walking the city), you shouldn't have any problem finding bud. Got more random whiffs in this city than any other one.

It was the NHL Media hotel so I had a reduced rate of like $180/nt (CDN) and there was a shuttle to and from the arena. It was hot as balls in the afternoon so I took the ride down. Then at night, there was a riot so I took the ride back (and I 'snuck' a Bs fan from London, ONT on the bus with me to get him out of area just in case).
