Cooperstown is a pain in the ass to get to.

Springfield is a fucking dump.

Toronto is the only city worth visiting for an extended stay.

I would imagine it's worth a trip from Pittsburgh if you want to kill the Saturday afternoon before the ball game, but certainly not as a vacation destination. I was there in '79 so I won't pretend that I have any idea what it is like today. (Yeah I am old)

1) I've been to Fort Myers once. Bored the piss out of me. My spring training trips are now to Arizona (and I've lost a lot of my incentive to go now that my brother's moving to San Diego at the end of the month.)

2) I did the Pro Football HoF in 2009 as part of a Toronto/Buffalo/Cleveland jaunt. Also saw the Hockey HoF, which is the most fun of the four major sports' Halls of Fame.

I saw two ballparks (Skydome and the Jake), Cleveland Browns Stadium, and three Halls of Fame (pucks, football, rock.) I did something different that summer because the Sox didn't play in Anaheim during the summer that year.

Never went to PNC but was up there for bidness a few years ago and shockingly caught a Pens/Sens game.

But PB is still solid. And the bar next to Fathead's has a midget that runs up and down the bar pouring shots in people's mouth, so that's fun.

did you hit up the casino at all? Just found out there is a casino by Heinz field.

I think I am also going to Baltimore in July (been there 5-6 times) and have a wedding in Philly in April and Phillies are hosting the Marlins that weeked so going to try to get to one of those games. Halladay vs Josh Johnson = the sickness.

Also and plus, I heard on the radio that Phils tickets are getting to be like Sox tickets. 120-something straight sell outs. Get 'em while you can.

Fantastic place to watch a hockey game though. When I went to the Cup in '08, it reminded me of a 1962 Elks hall, falling apart at the seams, dirty ceilings, all banged-up.

That was actually the year I went....IIRC they lost in a shootout. We were like 15 rows up near the goal. It was my second NHL game ever. I did enjoy it.

This reminds me of the time that my brother and I went out to Pittsburgh for the AFC championship the first Superbowl year. We were at the airport taking out cash for the trip (after having dropped a bunch of cash on the tickets and flight) and he was like "at least there isn't a Casino in Pittsburgh." We were crashing at my buddy's place and right across the street the local synagouge was having a Casino night. We decided we had to stop in there before we headed out to the bars. My brother is literally dropping $5 per spin on the biggest joke of a roulette wheel I've ever seen (thing was literally like 8" in diameter). I was playing black jack because the poor old guy dealing the cards was literally showing every card he was dealing. Max bet of $5 per hand but I was doubling down and splitting. We were such fucking degenerates.
