The silence from the administration is absolutely staggering. It's mind-boggling the way they're handling this.

They handled like people in the fifties handled it.....swept under the rug and forgotten. The culture there is an ancient one. I

To me its completely clear.

*at least 7 adults knew about this and did nothing
*they chose to protect the university
*Sandusky is a monster

Shoot him in the forehead on national TV, fire everyone from the top down including Paterno... IMMEDIATELY. Let the nation of alumni come in and help the current squad finish the season.

Even the members of the media that went to Penn st are having a hard time denouncing him.....its the old ball coach mentality. Blackledge sounded like he was going to cry this morning when Mike and Mike asked him if Joe had to go.

This guy McQueary, who is currently on the Penn State coaching staff, saw Sandusky sexually assaulting a young boy in 2002 and did nothing. How he could go to work with this guy after what he saw is beyond comprehension. He reported it to Paterno, end of story from his stand point, which is complete bullshit. How many lives were ruined because McQueary did nothing?

thats what I dont get

I mean, good that he reported it and all...but when you continue to see Sandusky around campus and realize that no charges were brought against him after that incident, how do you not go to the authorities yourself???

Penn St must be a great University to work at though, JP knew all this shit and they are letting him finish out the year an retire on his own. Disgusting.

Is there any legal recourse that the state could use to nail everyone that knew about this for not reporting to the police instead of the faculty?

Talks about that a little here along with several other things that he could be charged with under the right circumstances

I'm not sure any of us really know what we would have done if we witnessed what McQuery did.
