I've been effusive in my '30 for 30' praise and I'm sure he's right.

I just haven't taken a shot for awhile and was due for one.

I watched the first half last week and turned it off at 2-0.
Then I find out in the Simmons chat that Tottenham won?

How?

I don't get the Simmons hate. I really don't.

They scored three goals in the 2nd half. First time that has ever happened in a soccer game. All the others end 0-0 or 1-0.

I think Simmons' articles have gotten a lot worse lately, especially ones about certain Boston athletes, but I don't hate him at all.

Pretty funny that this show is following Cam Newtons Heisman victory show.

Re-watched the Two Escobars last night. Made a bunch of references to andres being captain of the national team, but in every clip they showed, Valderrama had the armband.

What gives?

How sad is it I remember the Ali/Spinks fights?

Just means you're getting older and that they mattered.

Back then you could see all the big matches on TV, though some were delayed. You could hear them live on the radio. Accessibility to the big matches has hurt the sweet science as much as anything.

I'd say it's the lack of big matches, especially heavyweights. Boxing just aint what is used to be.

That might have been the final nail in the coffin, but Tyson was as big as there ever was and you could only see him on PPV. It disenfranchised the average fan.

Wow at Ali in 1980. He had no business fighting.
