Jeezus.

Simmonds is a solid 3rd/4th-line grinder type which this team needed and Schenn and Voracek seem like good prospects (and whoever we get with the 8th pick should also be a good prospect) but I'm not a fan of trading 2 of our top scorers for this much of a youth movement when Pronger probably only has about 2 good years left.

I never bought it....they played together for a year and a half after that was supposedly going on (about midway through last season) including a run to the Cup Finals last season and never showed any chemistry issues. Part of the issue was that the Flyers '09-10 season was the polar opposite of the '10-11 season (horrible first half, red-hot late season in '09-10) so people were looking for a reason why this was going on. Bigger issue is that Richards and Laviolette apparently weren't on speaking terms for much of the past season.

Rumor has it that Philly is going to sign the more-talented, non-douchebag Richards (Brad) to replace Mike.

Does this mean Kovalchuk is now the 4th highest-scorer in Jets' history?

Also Stamkos rumors floating around but I'll believe that when it happens.

Minny just fleeced SJ for Setoguchi (unless it's a $ dump).

Winnipeg(now confirmed as the Jets) will play in the Southeast division this coming season, but it looks like major realignment is headed to the NHL for the 2012-13 season. Nashville, Detroit and Columbus hope to move to the east.

It makes sense but sucks for me because that would mean a drastic cut in the number of trips the Avalanche make to Nashville.

I think NAS will stay out west. Makes more sense for Columbus and DET has more clout so they'll likely get it if they want it. Which makes things interesting for Bruins.

Leave it to the NHL to not do the simple thing and just switch Winnipeg and Nashville
