I haven't been down there much to play; any straddling? will they run it twice/three/four times in a heads up all in/huge pot if both players agree?

There's usually one guy at every table that straddles consistently. I think you can straddle to 8 after the first guy straddles to 4 (assumining 1-2 game) but I'm not even sure. It rarely happens.

Just got home; was going to put in a morning session, but lady is headed to Orlando for work so I shot home to take her to the airport.

Played 1/2 to start; bought in for $200. Was card dead for the first 30 minutes at the table; picked up A-10 suited on the button. Raised to $15. Picked up one guy, out of position. Flop comes 7-4-10, rainbow. Top-top for me, he leads out for $15, I bump to $35, he calls. Turn is a 9. I'm pretty much only sweating 6-8 / J-8 or a set now; tough time putting him on either of the former. He checks it, I check back. (I probably should have value bet here, but I had a feeling he was set peddling, and given the result, the check ended up saving me money.) River blanks and he leads out again for $30, I smooth call and he flips over....6-8 off. He called a raise with 6-8 off out of position and I pretty much had the tightest image at the table. Donked off about $100 that session.

Dinner break at MGM: Craft-Steak house. Expensive as shit, but the food was great.

Back to the 1/2 tables: Sat for a couple hours, made about $120, most of it one one hand, A-A vs J-J. Overall, broke even at the poker tables.

Late night craps family run; father, uncle and two brothers. (one of my brothers pulled a Ronnie B and played the don't pass/don't come the entire session and got smoked. former poster scal78 hangs his head in shame.) I made about $400 (should have been more but I didn't play 6/8/10 like I normally would when it was my roll and I rolled 3 points and about 14 6/8/10's), father made $1600, uncle $1000...

it would be much shorter as 99% of us wouldn't even be playing. I had never heard of the game before Chris Moneymaker's run.

First time I heard "smooth call", I asked guy next to me (may have been dealer) what it meant. He shrugged and said "It means he called".

I don't always play the don't pass/come line. However I'm definitely not afraid if the table is cold or there is a mush like Friar rolling the bones. Regardless it sounds like you had a good time and had a good meal.
