Brady is the balls. Less money (again) to free up cap room to sign Welker.
Throw a healthy Jake Ballard into the TE mix and add an impact DL (Hello Paul Kruger) and we're on the way to reloading...

Jake Ballard, really? cmon now.....

I don't think Kruger is on the market until next year...you can have Osi...lol

IMO, forget Welker and go after Bowe or Wallace

The Patriots like Tight Ends and if I recall correctly Coughlin was furious that the Patriots picked up Ballard after he was put on waivers because it wasn't sporting or some such bullshit.
He was only the NYG starter and had he not blown out his ACL in the Super Bowl there aren't too many teams who would pass on him.
In 2011 Ballard had 38 catches for 600+ yards, averaging 15.9 ypc and 31 of the catches went for first downs, which is pretty good production from where i sit.
And he's 25. I can't see how this is a bad thing at all.

Remember who slicks fav team is?? You can't listen to him at all...not to mention he said "forget Welker" which makes everything else he said the ramblings of a mad man

Oh I know who bleeds Giants blue.
That's why I was kind of surprised to see him dismiss Ballard.
If the guy is back to where he was before the injury the Pats have 3 legit pass catching TE threats (Hoo-Man wasn't a pass catching threat) and can choose to either bulldoze other teams with the run or kill them with the pass. A 3 TE set would force teams to put 8 in the box to stop the run, leaving athletic TE's a ton of open space. If teams back off then they can simply hand off and I could get 1000 yards... It's a win win situation. What number is Ballard going to be, I want to be the first with his shirt.. baaaallhahahaaahhahaa

You can have Welker and his 200 regular season catches.....and his drops in the post season....

Ballard ran a something like a 6 second 40.....after his surgery he's probably at like 8 seconds, lol
