Last year we were snowed in our mountaintop condo in the Smokies. That didn't suck

Friends house so the kids can play....we'll be home by 9.

Of course the father of the family who hosts insists on getting chinese food from the Kowloon which not a single person likes (because we have actual good taste).

But to make matters even better, he doens't like to deal with crowds, so he'll pick it up at like 1 pm. And will reheat it in their oven when people show up.

So it'll be dried out worse than anything you've ever had. Of course the wife of that family 100% knows that this is ridiculous, but she's at the point of basically saying "look he's an asshole about this, what do you want me to do" and basically said as much to my wife yesterday.

of course I'm not allowed to say anything, even though its not even like they're buying, because on top of it all, we'll all chip in when we get there to pay for it.

So yeah, I'm not the biggest NYE fan in the world.

Now I'll have fun tonight b/c the kids will have a blast and I'll wind up putting FSU - S. Carolina on their tv that's in the kitchen that the adults will be hanging out in, but I wouldn't mind at least some quality chinese.
