last night was simple....burgers, sausages, squash and red potatoes.....all on the grill.

love cutting up red potatoes, throw some olive oil and spices on them and wrap them in foil....winning. Same for the squash

tonight I think I'm going with fish.....

grilled corn on the cob
home made crab cakes
shrimp
scallops


all done on the grill (the crab cakes are tough on the grill, so I put aluminum foil down)

i assumed it was to prevent said crabcake from going through the grates.

Lobsters, Mussels, corn, pasta salad, etc. yesterday.

yup, the foil goes down the prevent the crab cake from going through grates.....

and TeeDub, I'd tell you the recipe but I'd have to kill you 8)

MCA and BS1 ( no one else look ) use cream of tartar ( a pinch ) and a few saltines after you've run them through the food processor in the mix. Really really stabilizes them.

but, IMHO, you should always fry crab cakes. This was my first time grilling one and it was not great. You need to have that crust on the patty that you get by frying it.

what do you use? i usually go mayo, mustard, old bay, lemon juice, lil franks, S&P, breadcrumbs. dip it in a egg wash then breadcrumbs.

onion, celery, green pepper, red pepper in food processor. Eggs and crab meat. Saltines in food processor. Cream of tartar. Spices. Mix. Cook in 350 degree oil until dark brown. Let stand for 5 mins. Serve will dill sauce. Profit.
