Filled up tank last Wednesday (MCA: "Charcoal is better." Boom. Done for the year.). So far grilled some chix breasteses with Sweet Baby Rays, a 1.5 lb. rump steak for 2, marinated steak tips and spare ribs from McKinnon's, and bone-in pork chops tonight.

Love having a goddamn grill.

Not sure I've been in the "charcoal is better" camp. I'm a gas grill guy, but if I had the time to do a nice steak, I probably would do it over charcoal. But I don't have a really nice charcoal grill.

Been cooking burgers/steaks in the cast iron pan more often than on the grill lately. Nothing against the grill but there's something to be said for cooking meat in a pool of its own fat.

The biggest drawback to them is the cleaning.

Do you guys use any special soap or solution when cleaning the innards of the grill? Need to give it good douching and was looking for any tips.
