yes, because Southie people are notorious for their exquisite taste in food.

With so much drama at Don Otto's and De Luca's, it's time for some good grocery news. And, at last, we can deliver. We hear that a new specialty market is opening in Southie on Monday. American Provisions will sell farmstead cheeses, house-cured meats, fresh baked goods, homemade condiments, to-go dinners, and other goodies previously unseen in Southie shops. Two South Boston denizens, Matt Thayer and Andy Fadous, own the place. It's at 613 East Broadway in South Boston; doors open at 7 a.m.

Police said there were several attacks in 2009 and this year, apparently involving a group of about 15 punks who seek out bar patrons and others who look like they are new to South Boston cops said.

So if I were to visit my friend who lives there, should I wear an "I'm with RA" tag to avoid being a target?

I had some nice youths throw glass bottles at me and my girlfriend in the parking lot across from CVS and adjacent to Bank of America on West Broadway when I lived there 5-6 yrs ago. Luckily they had bad aim.

It is good to see this story make it into the news. This type of shit happens in every city, the difference in Southie right now is that a good amount of the people moving there have no idea about it. They should have added a second part of the story featuring the drug addicts that wander the streets in the middle of the night.
