honest question:

anyone have any specific fitness goals to start the year? Lose x amount of pounds, run x amount of miles, etc?

lose 15 lbs. Get a pair of running shoes that cures my shin splints. Complete Boston marathon.

No. I always feel like I could drop 10 lbs. But a calendar flip doesn't affect that one way or the other.

I run in Zigs now, obviously b/c I'm Reebok affiliated.

I like them. If I was an independent, I'd run in ASICS.

Run 1500 miles for the year and finish a marathon next Fall. I've gone from wanting to run a Boston qualifying time to just wanted to get the 1st one done.

In retrospect, I should have taken the plunge before having kids. Live and learn.

Lose 5-10 lbs of bad weight over the next two months. Then hopefully gain that back in muscle.

Similar to that besides the Pats playoff games I'll be taking most of the month off from drinking.

'cause I think it's a healthy (healthier?) way to start the year after a month of holiday decadence.

Doesn't mean it's fun.

Also, don't be an asshole.

"Also, don't be an asshole" as a response to the most tame thing said on the message board = hilarious.
