RA, That picture still pisses me off. Howard informing the football watching world of the tragic the news was stunning, one of the "where were you" type of things that I'll always remember and it certainly put the MNF game in perspective.

8.

I wasn't watching game but heard about it the next day.

Had no clue what the big deal was about a musician getting killed. Until I watched TV over next week or so.

even though I wasn't alive, and all respect to JT, I am not 100% buying this as a "remember where you were" moment.

today is maybe the second time in my life I've seen that clip, and I didn't even know the Pats were playing.

I was -1, but still Lennon getting killed was definitely a "where were you" moment.

1. 9/11 attacks
2. JFK Assassination
3. Lennon getting shot
4. Nancy Kerrigan assault
5. OJ Verdict
6. Columbine massacre
7. Princess Di Crash
8. Michael Jackson's OD
9. Lebron's Announcement
10. Chile's Heroic Miner Rescue

Beg to differ, pal. People really were walking around dazed in the aftermath. People Jerry's age most definitely remember where they were when it happened.

Prickly Pete says:
December 8, 2010 at 2:14 pm (Edit)
The fact that Lennon getting killed gets more air time than the anniversary of Pearl Harbor yesterday is insane. The bigger insult is that Japanese cars sell like hotcakes here in the US — never understood that. Japan bombed us! Like, flew airplanes over Hawaii and bombed the harbor. Why do we support their economy? Never understood it.
