I'm legit surprised at Apes. Had no reason to feel good after the Burton misfire.

That Grantland article was some serious grave-dancing. I bet the authors just loooved 'Attack the Block'.

I think a lot of original Han Solo/Indy fans (i.e. guys my age) opted out of seeing it at the show because of modern cinema crowds. It's a good, summer popcorn flick. Critics seemed all too willing to pounce. Wasn't perfect but it was fun.

The Guard ... great lil black comedy in tradition of In Bruges.. worth checking out if your a fan of Gleeson or have spent time on west coast of ireland.

Saw another great lil (ie Kendall and maybe Waltham) film called The Whistleblower .. not for light hearted revolves around human trafficing at end of bosnia/ Serbia / croatia war .. not pretty but well made

looking forward to 5 Day War about Russia/Georgia conflict that starts in DC area next week... always been big Garcia fan and he plays the Georgian President

saw an early screening of Warrior tonight and def think most of this board will enjoy .. not quite the fighter but solid flix..nick nolte was great and the dude from Inception was a badass ... same director as miracle which I also enjoyed

saw moneyball .. very entertaining .. people will try and pick it apart but it beats all the stupid action hero shit we have been force fed last few months .. pitt will get nomination not sure about win though

I'm on a short list of finalists for one of the "Bad Guy" extras on the movie they've been shooting all over town, "R.I.P.D.". I'll find out tomorrow if I get the nod. It's like 4 solid days of work and not your standard 'extra in a sea of them' gig.
