Zach G gets on the moral soapbox about Gibson but not the convicted rapist Tyson? Word is that's why Mel got bounced from 'Hangover 2'. Kind of douchey but speaks to his clout. There are depraved Hollywood people working on every movie, seems weird to call a guy out and cost him work. In the grand scheme, people have done a lot worse than Gibson's drunken offensive rants and crazy calls to the babymama.
The principal in 'Ferris Bueller' is a fucking skinner who plead guilty to taking naked pics of 13-year-old boys but he still gets work no problem (see: Deadwood). I can't even watch the guy. But private conversations, however offensive you may find them, are a no-no.

Liam Neeson in talks for 'The Hangover 2'
Liam Neeson is in final talks to replace Mel Gibson as a Thai tattooist in The Hangover 2, sources close to the film tell EW. Variety had initially reported the casting, saying that the Irish actor flew to the film’s set on Thursday for a one-day shoot. Director Todd Phillips had hoped the controversial Gibson would play the role, but in a statement released yesterday, the director stated that not everyone in the cast and crew supported that decision. Neeson has some connection with the cast of The Hangover, as he and Bradley Cooper costarred in last summer’s The A-Team.
