Wake Up With Roger Clemens Striking Out 16 In His Return To Fenway With Toronto (1997)
Yesterday, I blogged about Roger Clemens’ interview with Joe Buck. At the beginning of the video, Buck had asked Clemens about the Mitchell Report, and the Rocket said, “If I didn’t have family or my sisters, I’d have probably told everybody — excuse my language — to go shit in their hat.” That reminded me of the time that Clemens came back to Fenway for the first time since the Red Sox let him walk in free agency and shit in everybody’s hat. He didn’t look like he was in the “twilight of his career” that day, or for the next eleven years. At least we know why, though.
