Last sentence of the first paragraph
Oh my god! It says “formerly” instead of “formally!” What an idiot! I mean honestly how big of a moron do you have to be to confuse two homophones that only differ by two letters? If this isn’t indisputable proof that UVA is a joke I don’t know what is! I get that if you’re running a college football program it reflect poorly on your school when you decide to use the wrong word on a recruiting letter, especially when the person you’re sending it to decides to show the entire world. But I’ve seen it on a million websites in the past couple of days and as far as I’m concerned unless whoever decided to post it can prove that they’ve never made a grammatical error in anything they’ve ever gotten published they shouldn’t be allowed to talk. I think the real story her is that there are 270 other words in this letter and they’re all used correctly. I don’t have the stats in front of me but that’s definitely better than me and I technically write for a living. I’ll take a .003% error rate every day of the week.
