LA Daily News – 1/15 – Moments after USC lost to Georgia Tech 21-7 in the Sun Bowl, about 10 to 15 Trojans players were involved in a locker room altercation, according to sources. The incident started when some freshmen questioned the leadership of the team’s seniors and whether they gave 100 percent effort for the Sun Bowl. This led to an argument that eventually escalated according to witnesses. ”It was one of the worst things I’ve seen in a locker room,” said a player who did not wish to be identified. Freshman offensive tackle Zach Banner did not wish to discuss the incident but said, “It’s going to be a whole new family atmosphere next season and you can quote me on that. For the seniors, it’s terrible.” Coach Lane Kiffin could not be reached for comment.
Is there something I’m missing with Lane Kiffin? Who is the last person that paid him a compliment or said he was a good coach? I literally have never heard someone say a good thing about him. And I’m as objective as it gets. Could not be more indifferent to Lane Kiffin. All I know is he has a smoking hot wife. But taking all the facts into account what the hell has he ever done that was positive? Raiders fiasco. Tennessee fiasco. USC fiasco. Urban Meyer fiasco. Alshon Jeffrey fiasco. Bush league number switches. Now the “shady recruiting” story that’s popping up all over the place followed by an all out brawl in the locker room following a bowl loss with sources saying coaches got punched and shit? Seriously is there any justification for the guy being a head coach out there? Just find it a little strange he keeps getting jobs. I guess 2011 was ok?
