TIOS - Former Georgetown star Mike Sweetney made at least $8.6 million playing in the NBA and by the looks of him now he spent every dime of it…..on donuts.
Still don’t get how Sweetney couldn’t make it work with the Knicks and Celtics. Just seems like when you have a chance to bolster your interior defense with a 945 pound center you got to to do. Bet both of them wouldn’t be under .500 right now if opposing teams were terrified to drive the lane knowing they might literally get eaten.
Anyway I remember watching Sweetney dominate the paint for the Hoyas like it was yesterday. Kind of sad. From Player of the Year Finalist at Georgetown to the NBA to weighing over a metric ton in the Puerto Rican D League. From the sickest big man in college hoop to literally the sickest dude in sports with high blood pressure and diabetes.
