SB Nation – Coveted defensive end prospect Davin Bellamy, long thought to be deciding between Tennessee and Georgia, took a surprise official visit to Oregon this weekend. He tweeted out a picture from his visit that stayed up just long enough for a Reddit user to take notice: That’s Bellamy in an Oregon jacket with two gentlemen, four lovely young women, and a bong. Bellamy quickly deleted the picture, for obvious reasons, but everything on the Internet lives forever.
Feel like this is kind of self explanatory but just in case Davin Bellamy needs a refresher. When on your official recruiting trip try to avoid pictures of you smoking weed or drinking. Unless of course you have your mind set on two other schools and make a “surprise trip” just to get one of the top teams in the country in some hot water, in which case well played.
Just example #803802 how Facebook continues to ruin the world. I mean this is a recruiting trip. What do you think happens? Players show him around to the library, the science wing, explain the class sizes and teacher-student ratio, then they grab an early dinner and watch Friends in bed? Fuck that. They get stoned on massive bongs and drunk and go to parties and fuck all the football groupies. How it’s always been only now everyone puts the pictures on Facebook and Twitter and before you know it you’re being investigated by the NCAA.
