Yahoo - If you were wondering how Ole Miss was able to reel in the nation’s No. 7 overall class this season, 2014 linebacking recruit Clifton Garrett has your answer. Garrett tweeted on Saturday that he had received 54 handwritten letters from Ole Miss in one mail delivery. Yes, 54 and all handwritten.
Everyone is saying this shows how Ole Miss has stepped up their recruiting game. That this is how they nailed that huge recruiting class. That this explains everything, that Hugh Freeze is showing how much he cares and bringing Ole Miss to the next level. Umm am I the only one who would automatically knock anyone off my list within 0.2 seconds of receiving their FIFTY FOUR fucking handwritten letters in one day? I mean I wouldn’t even care that it’s totally creepy. I wouldn’t mind that some grown men spent the time to write 54 letters by hand in their best cursive and lick 54 stamps to put on 54 envelopes and send to a high school kid at his mom’s house. It’s more the principle of getting the shit spammed out of me and having my mailbox stuffed to the brim with obnoxious letters so I like can’t even get my bills or magazines. Right at the top of my list of pet peeves. Junk mail and SPAM. Seriously I have probably the most official spam filters on my emails you’ve ever seen in your life. Got about 400 set up for each individual type of spam I get. So Hugh Freeze what I’m saying is, if you’re thinking of recruiting me, try tactic #2. I won’t stand for this type of mail overload.
