CFT - Oh, yeah. This is going to go over well. Miami landed one of the top offensive lineman recruits for the 2014 class last month with the verbal pledge of Kc McDermott. It was a big pickup for the Canes, as McDermott also reportedly had scholarship offers from Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State, among others. But McDermott, a lifelong Miami fan, wasn’t interested in the Buckeyes and his feelings didn’t change when Meyer came to his school to see McDermott face to face. But McDermott’s account of his interaction with Meyer is… well… it’s something! After telling Meyer he wasn’t interested in Ohio State, McDermott said the coach was shocked, as if he’d “never been told no in his life.” McDermott went on to say Meyer “looked like he was a baby about to cry. It was so funny.”
Shots fired! What’s the deal with recruits being complete D-bags lately? Changing their minds 1000 times after making commitments. Flushing their recruiting letters down the toilet and saying basically Fuck Saban as they post it to Vine. Shitting on Urban Meyer calling him a big crybaby. How about hey thanks best football coaches in the world for taking the time to show some interest me? I mean I have no interest in standing up for Urban Meyer who by all accounts seems like a complete asshole to everyone outside of Columbus but let’s be real, having a respected coach visit your school in person and you repaying him by calling him a big fat baby probably isn’t the best look. Guess this is what happens when you make Signing Day a 24 hour public spectacle on live TV. Everyone thinks they’re god’s gift to sports.
Of course if I’m a Canes fan this bro is my new favorite player so I guess mission accomplished.
