RGJ - A 56-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the buttocks inside the Century 14 movie theaters in downtown Sparks on Tuesday night when a gun he had brought into the cinema discharged, police dispatch said. No one else was hurt in the theater at 1250 Victorian Ave. when the gun discharged while the unidentified Sparks resident was seeing “The Bourne Legacy,” police said. Calls reporting shots fired in the theater came in about 8:40 p.m., according to preliminary information. “Witnesses inside the theater at the time the shot was fired stated that a (man) was adjusting himself in his seat when a gun he had on him discharged,” Sparks police Sgt. Pay Dyer said in statement issued late Tuesday. The man immediately got up, apologized to those around him and left the theater before police arrived, police said.
Listen when it comes to going to the movies I’m kind of a prick. I get mad at fucking EVERYBODY. I hate people coughing or sneezing or sniffling. I hate seeing that stupid light of people texting. I hate people you slurp their drinks and fish around in their bag of popcorn. I hate people kicking or bumping or touching my chair. I hate groups of teenagers talking. But you know what’s kind of crazy? Apparently I don’t hate guys who shoot themselves in the asshole in the middle of a movie. Like I’m not mad at this guy at all. He shot himself in the ass, apologized, and excused himself. Model fucking citizen. Probably 4 second ordeal max. Hey we’re not all perfect. Sometimes you forget to silence your phone and sometimes you forget to put the safety on the 9 MM in your asshole. We all mistakes. Just apologize, don’t make a habit of it, and enjoy the show.
