Huff PO – Apparently, synthetic marijuana can make your dreams a reality. But for Florida teen Mark Welch, that reality was jail. Welch, 18, called 911 two times on Sunday, trying to convince a dispatcher that everything in his dream was happening for real, according to a Volusia County Sheriff’s Office press release. A dispatcher tried to make sense of Welch’s babbling during the first call at around 7 p.m.:
Dispatcher: What’s happening?
Welch: Everything that happened today is actually in my dream, and I want to prove it to everybody.
Dispatcher: What did you dream about that’s happening?
Welch: It’s all on paper. I wrote it down.
Officers were sent to Welch’s residence in Orange City, where the teen allegedly copped to smoking K2, a synthetic marijuana. A deputy told him not to call 911 again unless he wanted to be arrested, Central Florida News 13 reported. The man’s parents hid their phone as a preventative measure, but Welch escaped to a neighbor’s house and dialed 911 again 40 minutes later. “The officer told me not to call back,” Welch said, “and he said if I called back, then y’all were going to take me to court. So, I’m calling back.”
Have you ever had a dream, Mark, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? I see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. That you are a slave, Mark. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.
Ahhh fuck it you’re just high as fuck on synthetic marijuana. I remember the first time I did drugs. Hey bro maybe pass on the grass next time if you’re gonna be such a bitch about it.
