Yahoo – As reported by Little Rock CBS affiliate THV, the Little Rock (Ark.) Hall High girls basketball team shutout it’s Little Rock (Ark.) Fair High counterpart by the overwhelming score of 88-0 in the season’s first game. Incredibly, the victory may have been even more one-sided than it appeared, too, with Hall pulling out its entire crew of starters after just four minutes with the Warriors already holding a 28-0 lead. With a hunch that a blowout might be in the offing, Hall also refrained from using any full court press or pressure defense, giving the Fair team as long as it needed to get up a shot, provided it didn’t lose the ball first.
Guaranteed next move: firing this coach and disbanding the team. Banning them from competition for the next 10 years. Probably spread the starting 5 out to every school team in the district. I mean how is it fair for one team to have so much talent and to work so hard to be the best in the league? How can anyone sleep at night with a powerhouse winning games 88-0 because they’re better than everyone? Totally not cool. Need to teach these girls that someday when they hit the real world they’ll be on a level playing field no matter where they try to get a job, no matter if someone else is smarter, more talented, or more qualified.
PS- I don’t believe that it’s actually possible to score 0 points in a full basketball game without physically trying to score 0 points. Especially with them not pressing or playing pressure D? That’s impossible. Flat out impossible. There wasn’t one lucky shot? One fuckin foul shot? You could put me, KFC, Feitelberg, Big Cat, and that midget Neil on a court with the Lakers and I guarantee you we’d score at least 2 points on a cherry pick layup in 48 minutes. Guarantee.
