WJHG – Dozens of spring breakers in south Walton County spent the night in jail Monday. Deputies caught them underage drinking, but they also allegedly destroyed the house where they were staying. Hands and feet shackled, these spring breakers were headed to the Walton County jail Monday night, busted for underage drinking. ”This is a joke. Officer this is a joke. Did you not drink when you were a kid? Come on!”
Deputies say they stumbled upon the open house party after a number of complaints by neighbors. ”They started fleeing out the back door. Actually there were so many people trying to get out the back door, they were stuck. They were pulling their ice chests,” said Major A.J. Smith with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Out of the more than 80 spring breakers on scene, deputies managed to arrest 32.
When asked if they thought it’s funny to be arrested, “It’s hilarious. Roll Tide,” responded one spring breaker.
And not only did these college students break the law, it was obvious they also showed no regard for the home itself. The smell of alcohol, vomit, and urine is almost overwhelming. To say the place is a disaster would be an understatement. Leaving behind pizza under beds, spilled beer, and cigarettes, they managed to destroy every single room.
Roll Tide dude is hilarious but I love that first guy they showed in the video even more. Just absolutely incredulous. Like are my friends really shackled at the hands and feet right now lined up on the driveway? Are we really being loaded up into a paddywagon and hauled off to jail? For being a college kid drinking inside a house on Spring Break? Officer did you ever even drink bro!? Just a bunch of cops and newscasters utterly SHOCKED that some 20-something college kids, on Spring Break, in a rented house, had the nerve to be loud and leave pizza on the bed. Spilled beer? Cigarettes? THE SMELL OF ALCOHOL? Can’t stand for it. Won’t stand for it. Might as well just blow up Walton County and Spring Break in general.
