Fox News – A Spanish boy’s prank has taken the practice of hiding bad grades from parents to a whole new level. The unnamed 11-year-old from Xinzo de Limia texted his father on Monday afternoon and said he was kidnapped, a tale he reportedly concocted, in an attempt to have his parents avoid a meeting with teachers later that night, The Guardian reports. The boy told his father that he was taken off the street and locked inside a moving car. His father, a police officer, worked with authorities to set up roadblocks in the province of Ourense. The boy was discovered two hours later in his family’s spare apartment, after his father noticed the key to the property was missing, The Guardian reports, citing local newspapers. Voz de Galicia, a local newspaper, said the boy had been performing poorly at school in recent weeks.
Let me guess. Everyone thinks this was such an awesome idea. That this kid was pulling the ultimate snake move that we all wish we had the balls to pull. Back when we were kids and we knew we just turned in the worst diorama of all time and were about to flunk a book report and our report card wasn’t even going to get us a free VHS rental at the video store. That on parent-teacher night our parents would come out of that room with that look of crippling disappointment on their face that would slowly morph into anger overnight and result in the grounding of a lifetime with no bike or snacks after dinner or no All That/Keenan and Kel for months. So yeah staging an abduction and getting it cancelled is an obvious boss move. Except for when you get immediately fucking caught like this idiot. Umm can you imagine the dad’s reaction when he found out the kid lied to him? Especially a cop dad? A cop dad who just had all his buddies and the entire police force set up roadblocks and stage a massive manhunt using all their resources when it turned out he was just hiding under his detective nose? An embarrased, upset, angry, disappointed cop dad. Would love to be a fly on the wall for the beating this little shit got, or maybe I wouldn’t. And remember this isn’t America where if you discipline your kid you get the auto death penalty. This is foreign where they still know how to teach a lesson. Absolute disciplinary bloodbath.
