Valentine's Countdown of Athlete's Wives & Girlfriends: No. 3: Cheryl Tweedy

Cheryl Tweedy is part... the best part... of the British girl group Girls Aloud, and she's married to a soccer player named Ashley Cole. I was reluctant to put two soccer players wives on this list, but I've been obsessed with Cheryl ever since I first became aware of her while doing research on soccer players wives during the World Cup. (Which is the only thing I researched during the World Cup, I promise you.) I guess you can't really resent soccer players getting all the great women in England, because honestly, who's their competition? The pop stars all prefer the company of men, and the golfers' wives all look like the chicks from "Absolutely Fabulous." Or "Mrs. Doubtfire." That leaves actors and soccer players to fight it out atop the British Babe foodchain. (Quick note: It was all over the tabloids in December that Cheryl's husband was banging everyone but the Queen so she supposedly moved out. I'll be checking on airfares to London once I familiarize myself with the British stalker laws.)
