Ask The Bartender
The Women of the Place (Barstool Sports Hometown Bar)
1. Do you mind it when guys openly flirt with you while you’re working?
Nikki - I don't mind a little flirting as long as they are respectful and polite while they're doing it.
Danielle - I don't mind. You should expect some flirting when working in this industry.
MaryAnn - Of course not! Why would I? It comes with the job. Most of the time they know it's not going to get them anywhere, so it's harmless! Who knows, you might snag a hottie!
2. How many dates should a respectable girl wait until sleeping with guy she’s dating?
Nikki - I would say wait until the third or fourth date. You can only know so much about a person and if you really would want to sleep with them until then.
Danielle - I don't really count dates, but you should wait a month.
MaryAnn - I consider myself a relatively respectable girl but, I personally don't follow the "three date rule" thing. Be spontaneous and do whatever the hell you want to. You only live once. But there's no need to be a complete slut either!
3. What advice would you give to a guy who wants to talk to a girl who is out with a group of her friends?
Nikki - First off, NO CHEESY PICK UP LINES! (unless it's in an absolutely blatant joking manner). Second, girls like to feel respected. Ask them questions to make it at least seem like you are actually interested in them as a person.
Danielle - First of all, don't use bad pick up lines. Secondly, wait until the girl you like walks away from the group to approach her.
MaryAnn - If she is with a group of friends buy them ALL a round of shots. If her friends like you then you stand a better chance. After the shot buy her a drink. You probably stand a better chance if she is trashed! Haha! Be funny, but not obnoxious. Don't make her carry the conversation. If you want to talk to her then talk! And most importantly...Don't stare at her chest while you are talking to her!!!!
4. What percentage of people who work in the restaurant/bar industry would you guess hook up with each other? Would you recommend it?
Nikki - Personally, I just started working in the business, but purely guessing, I would say about 40-50%, maybe more. I wouldn't recommend it because if things don't work out or if one person feels differently afterwards than the other, you could have some problems.
Danielle - All of them. If you don't mind seeing them at work and can deal with no strings attached, why not?
MaryAnn - I would have to say close to 100 percent. I recommend it because I personally find it easier to hook up with people in the business because they have the same schedules. They understand that your weekend starts on Sunday and they don't complain about having to get up at seven for work the next day! Plus, fooling around in the beer cooler is always a good time right?
5. What’s the best part about working at the Place?
Nikki - I love all the people I get to work with and all of the new, interesting people I get to meet every time I come into work.
Danielle - Great people and fun atmosphere.
MaryAnn - The skimpy outfits, knee high boots, wearing a bikini on Wednesdays, and the sexy guys I meet! Just kidding, The people! I love the people I work with. We have a blast together. I would have to say though, dancing on the bar is one of my favored pastimes! (and you really can't do it without the skimpy outfit now can you?)
