Spring Break stories from the women of The Place where every Wednesday Night is Spring Break
1. If you hooked up with a dude on spring break would you consider it cheating? Does spring break have the same rules as Vegas??
Vanessa - I kind of feel that if you are in a relationship anything is considered cheating although what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so I guess the same could also pertain to Spring Break.
Megan - Hooking up with another dude, regardless of where it takes place (even spring break) is always considered cheating. Why not just be single? Then you can make your own rules and let that inner craziness out without any inhibitions. Spring break and Vegas certainly share the same set of rules. No cheating if you're involved in a relationship but if not, you better make the week count and do whatever it takes to have fun. That's what college vacations are all about right?
Heather - It would definitely be considered cheating. Although, it wouldn't prevent me from having a lot of fun. I think the temptation to cheat would be greater on spring break than Vegas, but it would be cheating no matter what the situation is.
Stephanie - I love Vegas. It’s the ultimate Adult Playground.
Kat - Hooking up with a guy on Spring Break if you are single is ok, but if you have a boyfriend it’s not cool. Would you want your boyfriend hooking up with some chick on Spring Break? I sure as hell wouldn't. I am a firm believer that even if you don’t get caught one way or another it’s going to come back and bite you in the ass. In the city of sin they say there are no rules, I take that to mean party like a rock star and if you’re single and looking to have some fun then do it, but if you have a significant other you can look, flirt, but don’t touch.
2. How many people is it acceptable to hook up with on Spring Break?
Vanessa – I guess it depends on the number of drinks and the number of nights out involved. Plus, girl friends can be rather persuasive. Don't think that its only guys who bet, have contests, and route on their friends to hook up with chicks, girls do the same thing to their friends for guys or girls.
Megan - There is no limit to the number of guys that you can hook up with while you're on spring break. I would limit myself to only one person because you can definitely assume that the guy you're messing with will be in a different girls bed the next night. But, then again we all have that wild girlfriend who won't even be able to remember the number of guys that she messed with and that's okay too. It'll give you something to talk about on the ride back home.
Heather - That would depend on how much money they have and what they drive. Just kidding. I’m not big into hooking up, but I can’t honestly say that in certain situations I haven’t done so. I would probably say that one is acceptable. Anymore would just be bad.
Stephanie - I do know girls and guys that have had sex with dozens of random partners on Spring Break. I’d rather go to a destination without the goal of 'getting laid' and focus more on the relaxation and spending time with close friends.
Kat - If you are a total slut then you will probably hook up with as many people as you can. To me Spring Break is kickass partying all day all night, meeting cool people and a whole lot of sun. Meeting guys and girls on Spring Break is part of the fun but it does not mean you have to hook up with anyone.
3. How many drinks would it take for you to enter a wet t-shirt contest?
Vanessa - Well I can say I have done and won my fair share and I think that the number of drinks depends on the size of the crowd. The more people watching and the hotter the guys in the crowd the more drinks it would take me to get on stage.
Megan - After a few car bombs, shots of tequila and a little encouragement from my girls I would be signing up for the wet t-shirt contest. College only lasts 4 years and after that you're at a real job where spring break doesn't exist anymore - no fun.
Heather - Zero. Where’s the water?
Stephanie – Sober, I say that there never could be enough drinks. Sober.
Kat - Funny, when I thing of wet t-shirt contests I think of girls with great big fake boobs that want to show them off. Which I think is great because if I had them I would want to show them to. But seeing as I’m about as small as they come I’m going to say that no amount of alcohol will convince me to ever enter one of those contests.
4. What is the best place to go on Spring break?
Vanessa - I have been to most of the spring break hot spots along the east coast including Myrtle Beach, Virginia beach, Daytona Beach, ft. Lauderdale and Miami and out of them all I would have to say that Miami was the craziest. Maybe not the best or the most fun but definitely the craziest. The people out there don t care what they do or who sees them do it, it makes for a pretty great time!
Megan - Anywhere you decide to go for spring break will be a memorable experience as long as you don't bring your boyfriend. That's a definite no-no. If there's alcohol and a group of some of your closest girlfriends you can almost guarantee that your vacation will be a wild and crazy one. Depending on how much cash you have saved up for the break the best place to travel would be anywhere with a beach and warm weather. Cancun and Florida were always the hot spots when I was in school.
Heather - I would say South Beach because the night life scene is hot and all the most beautiful people hang out there.
Stephanie – You can’t beat Vegas. It has everything you could ever want.
Kat - The best place I ever went on Spring Break was Cancun. It was unbelievable! All day partying, gorgeous beaches. and the water was beautiful. The clubs were crazy, everyone down there was hot hot hot! Guys, girls, everyone looked great. My second favorite is Las Vegas!! The city never sleeps, it’s insane, you can drink on the street, and you can do whatever the hell you want. I love it!!
5. What is your favorite memory of Spring Break?
Vanessa - I was in Myrtle Beach with my best friend and we met these two really cute guys. While cruising down the strip with the windows down and the stereo up I decided to jump out and see how much it would be for us to go bungee jumping. I ran back across the parking lot excited to tell her it was only $20. I went to stick my head in the window running full speed and they had put the windows up while I was out of the car! I ran face first into the window bounced off and landed on my back in the middle of the parking lot surrounded by tons of people. I actually hit it hard enough to have a welt on my head for the whole 2 weeks!!
Megan - Favorite memory? With all of the booze I consumed my memories are a little cloudy. All I can tell you is that I have a secret album of pictures where my friends and I tried to get as many pictures of naked men as we could. The final count was close to a hundred. That was a good vacation.
Heather - Winning the wet t-shirt contest and getting all my drinks for free.
Stephanie – I actually hit a slot machine for 500 bucks last time I went on Spring Break. It paid for the whole trip.
Kat - My favorite memory of Spring Break would have to be in Cancun hanging out at the Miramar Mission Beach with about 1,000 other people just drinking and having a good time. That beach was out of control there were wet t-shirt contests, a mechanical bull, which you should not ride when you've had about 12 Coronas, and all sorts of other contests.
6. What is the age cutoff on going on a spring break vacation? When does a person cross the line and become a perv?
Vanessa - I think the age difference is different for guys and girls. That might sound like a double standard but I know I am not going to look twice at a group of 40-50 year old women out having a great time. On the other hand most groups of 40-50 year old guys are out trying to get laid by 21 year old girls and that’s just creepy.
Megan - There really is no cutoff age for attending spring break. If you are over 30 I think it would be a little creepy to pick a college hotspot destination. When old men are there just to gaze at young girls in scandalous clothing it gets even sketchier. But you are never too old to take a road trip with a group of your friends for the sole purpose of getting crazy and hoping to not remember any of it.
Heather - I don’t think there is a cutoff age as long as you are not cheesy. Who wouldn’t want to see people like Demi Moore or Brad Pitt hanging out and partying? If you can pull it off without being old, perverted 80’s guy, see you there. Leave the Speedo and the Iroc at home.
Stephanie - I think that Spring Break is mostly college kids, but you can never be too old to head South with a group of good friends to get out of the cold weather.
Kat - There is no age cut-off for going on Spring Break; it just depends on where you are going. If you are 40 and you’re still going to Cancun in March, then you have a problem. But if you are older and want to go away with all your friends for Spring Break, then go for it. You re never too old to have fun in the sun with girls or the guys!
