The Gals of the Boston Billiard Club
1. What restaurant in Boston would you recommend a guy bring a girl on a first date and why?
Katie: I don’t think that going to dinner on a 1st date is the best idea. I say go out for a couple of drinks, so you can bail out if they're a weirdo. When you go out for dinner you get stuck with them throughout a whole meal and even longer. I would suggest going to Faneuil Hall somewhere around dinner time for a few drinks so the after work crowd is there and it’s not dead.
Heather: Probably Tsunami over near Beacon Hill. Why? They have super fresh fish, you can bring your own bottle of wine or beer, it’s kind of cool. They will just open the bottle and give you glasses, service is awesome. John who runs the place is sweetheart.
Asja: Formal sit down romantic dinners are too formal and too cliche' for a first date. If you go to a bar like the Cactus Club it has a nice bar area with music that you can just sit and eat in the bar area. You don’t have to feel awkward and just be yourself and let loose.
2. Where is the weirdest place you’ve ever hooked up at and was it fun?
Katie: My old roommate Jen swears that I hooked up with a guy in our dorm room while we had bunk beds, and she was on the bottom bunk. Jen, if you're reading this...I still swear that it's not true. It’s a toss up between the backseat of my car that I still drive or in a hotel room with people in the next bed.
Heather: Oh boy... I don’t know if I can write this. On the roof of my old apartment. It was fun, My bedroom window went out to this ledge that led off to the roof. It was on a really busy road late night.
Asja: I tend to always end up in my roommates bedroom instead of mine. We're just usually hanging out in her room and she leaves, leaving me with the guy...and well...enough said. This has happened numerous times...Sorry Rici!!! But the weirdest place was in the bathroom stall at a Boston restaurant. (Sorry Not telling where)
3. Why would you tell somebody to come to Boston Billiard Club before Red Sox games as opposed to other bars in the area?
Katie: For the Girls!! We have several areas just for lounging and relaxing before the game...private rooms, leather couches, and overstuffed chairs. Lots of cool people, lots of energy. You can play pool and stay entertained instead of just hanging around. We love working here and have a great staff that enjoys all our Red Sox Fans! Yankee Fans beware, but don’t worry we will still serve you the regular price beers instead of the $2 draft!!
Heather: Great Energy its really big capacity so you can bring a bunch of your friends, without having to wait in line.
Asja: So you can see us of course! Boston Billiard Club features $2 Miller Lite drafts which helps your wallet so you have extra cash to take me out for drinks. You can hang out with us if you don’t have tickets to the game. We are right by the park so you can hear all the crowd's cheering and we have 33 TVs so it gives surround sound a whole new meaning. So it’s like your almost there. On Wednesdays it’s Ladies Night so each girl gets 25% off of pool and Sundays it’s In the Biz night where Bar, Nightclub and restaurant employees get discounts, even during games!!
4. If you could only pick one song and put it on your ipod what would it be? Let’s assume you have an ipod
Katie: Anything by Britney Spears. Since my goal in life is to be the next Britney. My theory is that I can’t sing and neither can she, so I’m on the right track. Everyone at Boston Billiard Club makes fun of me for playing Britney on our jukebox; even the regulars know I love Britney. I don’t think I’m allowed to do it anymore...
Heather: Tina Turner greatest hits. Why? She rocks and has kick ass legs.
Asja: Anything Hip Hop, because if there is only one song that I can listen to I need to stay entertained. I also have a self diagnosed insomnia problem so I tend to enjoy listening to music all night long so it better be something good like Frankie J because I love HIM~
5. If a guy was trying to pick you up at a bar what advice would you give him?
Katie: Tip me good if I’m working at Boston Billiard Club. But if I'm out with friends at another bar the first thing not to do is call me any pet name of any kind...Baby...honey....sweetie....that’s annoying. And don’t stare at me for 2 hours and then come talk to me...have some courage and make your move early on.
Heather: Come up and tell me a story, or start a conversation and then tell me your name after the fact. Then see if I tell you my name if I do then your golden, if I don’t keep walking. Next please.
Asja: First by me a drink, don’t use any cheesy lines. Just start a regular conversation. Don’t be too cocky, don’t make me feel like I have to stay by you all night...Lets just keep bumping into each other while doing our own thing...And if your going to ask me for my number do it at the end of the night, I’m not going to just give up my number because you said hello.
